Questions you're too afraid to ask

What even is Move Clan?

It's basically a cult, but for people who count their steps instead of worshipping deities. Move Clan is a fitness challenge app that turns your daily movement into competitions so ridiculous you'll forget you're actually doing something good for your body.

Is it really free? What's the catch?

Yes, it's actually free! The catch? We're desperately hoping you'll love it enough to tell all your friends so we can eventually build a fitness empire and retire to private islands. Until then, we've got rent to pay, so there's an optional premium tier with extra features for the truly step-obsessed.

Do I need to be fit to use this?

Ha! No. Seriously, we've got users whose idea of a workout is walking to the fridge. The beauty of step competitions is that everyone starts where they are. We don't care if you do 500 steps or 50,000 steps a day (though if you're doing 50,000, maybe get some hobbies?).

Are you secretly selling my data?

Nope! We're not interested in how many steps you take to the bathroom at 2 AM. Your data is yours – we just use it to fuel your competitive spirit and occasional public humiliation when you lose to Grandma in the weekly challenge. See our privacy policy for the boring legal stuff.

My friend is cheating. Can I have them banned?

First, are you sure they're cheating, or are they just annoyingly athletic? If they're attaching their phone to their dog, that's creative problem-solving in our book. But yeah, if you've got a genuine cheater, report them and we'll investigate while judging both of you equally.

Can I challenge celebrities to step battles?

Unless you happen to have The Rock in your contacts, probably not. But you can create a challenge and name it "Me vs. Imaginary Chris Hemsworth" and pretend. We won't tell anyone.
